SOS Children’s Villages provides financial assistance through a charitable program. The organization’s website states this.
The Ministry of Reintegration has had a long-term partnership with SOS Children’s Villages.
Assistance is available to foster families, family-type children’s homes, and guardians (trustees) who have placed children under the age of 18 in 2024.
Targeted charitable assistance is provided in the following regions: Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Sumy, and Odesa.
The payment for each child is 10,800 UAH, which is paid in three installments over three calendar months.

Families who adopted a child or children in Ukraine between September 1, 2023, and December 31, 2024, may receive financial assistance.
The program is available to applicants who:
- adopted a child (or children) with a disability,
- adopted two or more children,
- internally displaced persons,
- adopted a child over the age of 5 (at the time of adoption).
In the case of adopting one child, the financial assistance amount is 10,800 UAH. If the child has a disability, the amount increases to 14,400 UAH. The funds will be paid to the applicant in a single payment.
