During a live broadcast on ICTV, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk stated.
Some universities may be considering their future activities in the new environment, including potential mergers with other higher education institutions.
The official emphasized that we support helping them stay. Before making a decision, we need to understand their capabilities and examine other circumstances. Tauride National University is the only university that relocated from Crimea. The staff wishes to maintain its status as a Crimean university.
Iryna Vereshchuk summarized “The position of the state leadership and her position as Vice Prime Minister. Higher education institutions relocated from the TOT should preserve their regional identity whenever possible. Accession to other institutions is not an end in itself. However, they need to demonstrate their viability and competitiveness, which time requires.”
