The Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission held a meeting

The Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation held a meeting in Lviv.

Iryna Vereshchuk, the Vice Prime Minister, led the Ukrainian delegation, while Krystof Hetman, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland, led the Polish delegation.

The participants discussed cooperation in various areas, including trade, investment, energy, environmental protection, agriculture, transportation, infrastructure, credit, customs, defense industry, and veterans’ policy.

The meeting participants reviewed the status and conditions of the Brody-Adamovo oil pipeline construction project. They confirmed the project’s strategic importance in strengthening the energy security of Ukraine, Poland, and other regional countries.

The meeting also resulted in an agreement to modernize the Shehyni checkpoint.

Iryna Vereshchuk thanked the participants for their collaboration. She expressed hope that the Commission would serve as a platform to enhance cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Poland.

“I am confident that all the agreements reached during our meeting will be implemented and will significantly impact the further development of our countries’ mutually beneficial economic cooperation,” concluded the Vice Prime Minister.
