The government’s Affordable Loans program has provided loans totaling 15.7 billion hryvnias to nearly 4,000 entrepreneurs since the beginning of 2024. The Government portal reports.
During this time, most of the loans were used to replenish working capital, totaling 7.6 billion hryvnias. Banks issued another 3.4 billion hryvnias in loans to processing enterprises under the program, 2.6 billion hryvnias to businesses operating in the high-risk military zone, and 2.5 billion hryvnias for investment projects.
This program mostly provides loans to businesses in the following sectors:
– agriculture (48%)
– wholesale and retail trade (25%);
– Processing industry (17%).
The regions with the highest number of loan agreements are Lviv, Dnipropetrovs’k, Odesa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, and the city of Kyiv.
Since February 2020, the program has issued 83,000 loans totaling 283 billion hryvnias.
In March 2023, the Ministry of Reintegration launched the government program ‘Affordable Loans 5-7-9%’ for entrepreneurs from territories of possible hostilities and de-occupied territories.
