Today the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a resolution “On the Prize of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for Special Contribution to the Development of the Crimean Tatar Language”. The resolution stipulates that up to 20 prizes of 50,000 UAH each will be awarded annually.

The draft law was developed based on the results of the meetings of the National Commission on the Crimean Tatar Language, co-chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The State Service for Ethnic Policy and Freedom of Conscience developed this document as part of the implementation of the Strategy for the Development of the Crimean Tatar Language for 2022-2032. The Government approved the strategy on February 23, 2022.
