Effective methods of employing internally displaced persons (IDPs) have been developed in Mykolaiv region

During a meeting on the employment of IDPs, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk chaired the discussion. 

The Mykolaiv RMA actively collaborates with international organizations to execute projects that assist IDPs in receiving training and securing future employment.

The project ‘WE ACT II: Acting for Women and Their Opportunities’ aims to open employment centers for women and provide vocational training to those from disadvantaged groups. So far, the project has successfully trained 150 vulnerable women.

The project ‘Promoting Employment of Internally Displaced Persons from Kherson Region’ is currently being implemented. It has two main areas: retraining and grants for starting or developing a business.

The project ‘Support for the Protection, Rehabilitation, and Restoration of Livelihoods of the Vulnerable Population’ will assist 200 internally displaced persons with employment, training, retraining, and confirmation of qualifications.

The Vice Prime Minister noted that Mykolaiv region has developed good practices for employing internally displaced The RMA effectively coordinates the work among authorities, the public, and international organizations.
