There are more places where IDPs can stay temporarily

Iryna Vereshchuk, the Vice Prime Minister, chaired a weekly meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for Ensuring the Rights and Freedoms of Internally Displaced Persons.

There are currently 1,038 temporary accommodation facilities (TACs) in operation.

Their number increased in the following regions:

– Dnipropetrovska – 68,

– Ivano-Frankivsk – 12,

– Ternopil – 8,

– Kharkiv – 5,

– Zakarpattia – 4,

– Sumy – 1,

– Cherkasy – 1.

Altogether, the number of beds for people forced to leave their homes has increased by 4,493. As of April 11, there were 20,752 beds available.

The Ministry of Reintegration lists internally displaced persons following the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 930 of September 1, 2023. This approves the procedure for temporary accommodation places for IDPs.

The Ministry of Reintegration developed the resolution on behalf of Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal to implement the State Policy Strategy on Internal Displacement until 2025.
