Participants in a meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk announced the agreement’s signing.

Children displaced from Ukraine studying at the Ukrainian School in Geneva can take their assessments at the International Ukrainian School (IUS) State Lyceum.

Citizens of Ukraine who reside abroad, temporarily or permanently, can obtain complete general secondary education through the IUS external education program.

This agreement establishes cooperation in the field of general secondary education. Specifically, it pertains to:

– the possibility of organizing and conducting assessment and state final certification of students of an educational institution;

– studying the current state of Ukrainian education in places of compact residence of Ukrainian citizens in the host countries;

– cooperation in the implementation of joint educational projects;

– providing and exchanging educational, scientific, methodological, and specialized literature (if possible);

– organizing recreational, cultural, and sports activities for students living in the host country.

Both sides will promote the study and preservation of the Ukrainian language abroad. They will also participate in implementing joint educational projects in the field of general secondary education.

The meeting discussed counting teaching experience for seniority bonuses. This applies to educators who went abroad due to the armed aggression of the russian federation and were employed in the host country after returning to Ukraine.

To solve this problem, a draft resolution was proposed. However, the law provides for changes in the procedure for payment of the longevity allowance to pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical employees of educational institutions and establishments, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on January 31, 2001, No. 78.

Iryna Vereshchuk instructed responsible agencies to intensify their work on signing an international agreement with Switzerland on social security.
