Be careful! Fake information

Telegram channels may publish false information, whether intentionally or unintentionally. This is particularly common when it comes to social payments.

Fake information recently appeared on behalf of Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

Iryna Vereshchuk reportedly announced a one-time payment of 5,000 UAH to all Ukrainians who have never traveled abroad since the beginning of the war.

How did they do it? They added a message to a part of the old broadcast that changed the story’s essence, and it turned out to be a fake.

The Vice Prime Minister said, “A meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers has just ended, where we adopted a resolution on the procedure for such payments.  Thus, a one-time allowance of 5 thousand UAH for each family member…” meant a one-time financial aid from the state paid to residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who suffered from flooding as a result of the enemy’s explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant last year.
