Banks issued 5800 loans to businesses totaling 22.8 billion UAH under the government’s Affordable Loans program in the first quarter of this year. The Government portal reports.
Entrepreneurs used 10.4 billion UAH to replenish their working capital, choosing the most favorable loans.
Businesses operating in the high-risk military zone received loans totaling 4.6 billion UAH. Processing enterprises were granted 4.3 billion UAH in loans, while investment projects received 3.7 billion UAH.
Loans are typically given to businesses in the following sectors:
– agriculture (48%);
– wholesale and retail trade (25%);
– processing industry (17%).
Lviv, Dnipropetrovs’k, Odesa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv regions, and the city of Kyiv are the regions with the most loan agreements.
Currently, the program has 45 participating banks. Since its launch in February 2020, it has issued 84.8 thousand loans totaling 289.7 billion UAH.
In 2023, the Ministry of Reintegration launched the state program ‘Affordable Loans 5-7-9%’ for entrepreneurs from territories affected by hostilities and those that have been de-occupied.
