Employers will receive compensation for hiring IDPs

Employers can receive compensation from the state for labor costs of employees hired by employment centers for internally displaced persons. 

Compensation is paid based on the actual labor costs of the individual, not exceeding two minimum wages (16 thousand UAH).

IDPs with additional employment guarantees for 12 months are eligible for compensation for up to 6 months, paid out every odd month. To qualify, employers must maintain their employment guarantees for a period that is more than twice the duration of the payment.

To receive compensation, follow these steps: 

– employ registered unemployed IDPs on fixed-term employment contracts;

– submit the necessary documents to the employment center;

– wait for the results of the application consideration within 10 working days;

– sign a compensation agreement, which is paid every odd month during the year.

An employer can apply for compensation to the employment center within two months of employing internally displaced persons.
