Local authorities can exempt businesses from local taxes in frontline areas

The government has approved amendments to the procedure defining the mechanism for providing additional subsidies to local budgets.

Due to the ongoing shelling in the frontline areas, the property of companies that pay local taxes is frequently damaged.

In 2024, local authorities can exempt businesses from land, real estate, and the single tax. The government will also help local budgets with any shortfall in state budget revenues.

We are talking about the territories where military operations were conducted. Such a decision is necessary for the business of the Kharkiv region, which suffered significant damage due to russian federation shelling.

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine developed the relevant draft law in response to a meeting held by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk at the direction of Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal.
