The International Organization for Migration (IOM) does not anticipate the same level of migration from Ukraine as at the outset of the full-scale russian invasion. IOM Director General Amy Pope made this statement during a conversation with the media, Ukrinform reports.

“It is unlikely that we will see the same level of outflow from Ukraine as at the beginning of the war. The outflow from Ukraine was characterized by a high rate of people leaving the country. It was a one-off occurrence. I do not anticipate a similar situation occurring again,” Pope stated.

She stated that IOM will continue to monitor the situation. At the same time, according to her estimates, most of our citizens would prefer to live in Ukraine.
