Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk visited Kharkiv on May 15. She checked the organization of the humanitarian hub for citizens evacuated from dangerous areas of the Kharkiv region.
The Vice Prime Minister also joined such events:
– held a meeting with representatives of international organizations;
– chaired the meetings of the Coordination Headquarters for the mandatory evacuation of the population under martial law;
– held a meeting of the Coordination Center for Civilian Support at the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration;
– held a meeting with the heads of communities in Kharkiv region.
Key messages:
– International partners should be involved in the development of a humanitarian response plan for the Kharkiv region.
– It is necessary to ensure payments to citizens who have evacuated from the areas of hostilities, including by private transport.
– Support initiatives to organize recreation for children and mothers with children from Kharkiv region (for 90 days) in the western regions.
– Ensure the temporary relocation of several social welfare institutions from Kharkiv region to safer regions of Ukraine.
Iryna Vereshchuk also extended her gratitude to all those involved in maintaining the vital activity of the Kharkiv region.
