A one-time payment of UAH 10,800 per person will be made to families from vulnerable categories who have to evacuate from frontline communities in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions.
The initiative was launched by the government in collaboration with UNICEF. The Government Portal reports.
Payments will be made to families with children who were evacuated from the Sumy and Kharkiv regions on May 1, 2024. They must have lived in these regions before the evacuation and belong to one of the following categories:
– the family includes a person or child with a disability under the age of 18;
– the large family with children under 18 years of age;
– a single mother or single father raises the children;
– the family with children under the age of 18 is low-income.
It is important to note that in the event of an evacuation organized by the regional military administration, payments will be made automatically. Should a family choose to relocate to a safe area independently as part of a mandatory evacuation, they are required to contact the nearest social security department in their new community and apply for the appropriate assistance.
This one-time financial assistance will go to one of the family members’ accounts or can be received through Ukrposhta.
