The SOS Children’s Villages Charitable Foundation provided funding to assist the first 17 families with children in Volyn Oblast with three-month accommodation.

Ukrzaliznytsia, UNICEF, and the Every Child Partnership helped to get families to the recreation center.

UNICEF and its partners have conducted individual assessments for each family. Based on these assessments, they provide financial assistance to each displaced person for UAH 10,800, food and hygiene kits, and psychosocial support.

75 individuals, including 50 children, have been relocated to a secure area. Upon arrival in Volyn, the families will be accompanied by social services. Partners, including UNICEF, SOS Children’s Villages, Dzherelo, and others, are prepared to provide further assistance to guarantee the well-being of children and families.

The problem of moving families with children from care homes was discussed at a meeting in Kharkiv Oblast. Iryna Vereshchuk, the Vice Prime Minister, chaired the meeting.

SOS Children’s Villages has given 36 million hryvnia to help families move to safer areas in Ukraine.

“I would like to thank all our partners who assisted with the evacuation of children from the frontline areas. It is of the utmost importance that every Ukrainian child is safe,” the Vice Prime Minister concluded.
