The Vice Prime Minister, Iryna Vereshchuk, announced this during a routine meeting on housing for IDPs.

MP Pavel Frolov told the audience about the results of the parliamentary-municipal dialogue forum “Housing for internally displaced persons”.

The event looked at ways to solve this problem. It was agreed that a full audit and inventory of all suitable places for IDPs should be done.

They also looked at ways to transfer property from the state to local communities to help IDPs. For example, they discussed transferring a dormitory in Poltava from the state to the municipality. This will be discussed at a Poltava City Council meeting soon.

The State Property Fund of Ukraine was told to quickly transfer the property to ensure the housing rights of IDPs.

We must work together to provide housing for IDPs. We need to attract all available resources, including money from our international partners,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
