Another 75 Ukrainians freed from captivity

Today, prisoners of war were exchanged. Among the released defenders are 70 men and one woman. Four women released from captivity are civilians.

37 members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were released, including 13 sailors, two air force members, 21 National Guard members, seven border guards, and six terrorists.

People released from captivity include those who defended Zmiinyi Island, the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, and Mariupol.

The exchange of prisoners was organized by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, with the help of the Office of the President, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Reintegration and other agencies.

Those released from captivity receive food, clothes, shoes, hygiene products, and a smartphone from the National Information Bureau and Ministry of Reintegration.

The NIB will help those released from captivity get their documents and SIM cards back. It will also help them get a one-time financial assistance of UAH 100,000 from the state.

Today’s prisoner exchange is the 52nd since the start of the russian invasion. 3210 Ukrainian defenders have been released.
