They plan to rebuild the high platforms and install lifts for people with limited mobility. They also plan to create new restrooms and restore tunnels.
The head of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Maksym Kozytskyi, posted this on his Facebook page.
This project is important because the main railway station in Lviv is the second busiest in Ukraine.
People with disabilities, the elderly, pregnant women, parents with young children, and soldiers on their way to treatment and rehabilitation arrive here every day. The station should be made barrier-free for their comfort.
The Lviv RMA is developing a project with experts to get funding. It will take 3 to 5 years and will be done in stages so that the station can still take passengers.
