Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said this at a meeting of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The official said that a draft Life Support Preparatory Plan is being created for areas where there is fighting. It includes plans for humanitarian response and evacuation.
The central executive authorities approve the document, which should be adopted in June.
“Our international partners should help create sub-plans for this document,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
She says the Lviv region has been a main humanitarian hub in Ukraine since the russian invasion. It’s also a hub for effective practices. Projects here often grow into large-scale initiatives.
The head of the Ministry of Reintegration said that it is important to help Lviv Oblast create a network of temporary accommodation and geriatric institutions to receive the evacuated population.
The Vice Prime Minister said long-term projects are needed for employment, geriatrics, grants, etc. But international partners are also needed for humanitarian response.
“In other words, we divide our cooperation into immediate measures and longer-term solutions,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
