Applications for a grant program for small and medium-sized businesses in four regions have been launched

Опубліковано 3 June 2024 року, о 17:42

The program’s creators want to help businesses and entrepreneurs recover from the war and create more jobs. The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) said this on Facebook.

Who can receive assistance

Companies in Dnipro, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia can apply.

The focus is on enterprises and individual entrepreneurs who have been affected by the war and are selling or producing goods or providing services to meet the basic needs of the population.

The funds may be used to cover a variety of expenses, including:

– purchase of equipment;

– payment of rent for premises;

– payment for equipment leasing;

– other urgent business needs.

The grant amount is up to USD 5,000.

The program also includes up to five hours of business consultations (accounting, marketing, legal assistance, etc.). The program participant chooses the topic.

The consultations will be conducted by a company specializing in such services (either in person or online, depending on the location of the company).

To participate in the program, you need:

  1. Fill out the application form and attach a business plan. The application form is available in English and Ukrainian. Recruitment will continue until the required number of participants is reached.
  2. Hire someone affected by the war for at least six months. The grant doesn’t include the salary for the new employee, but the state will pay if the employee has IDP status or a disability.
  3. Report how the funds were used for the program within the timeframe.

The grant assistance was made possible through the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau of Humanitarian Assistance.
