The status of the international technical assistance project was discussed at a meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The project, “Improving the Housing Conditions of IDPs in Eastern Ukraine,” is designed to reconstruct houses destroyed as a result of hostilities and construct new houses in the Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Chernivtsi regions.

The project is being implemented with the financial support of the German Government through the KfW and with the assistance of the Ministry of Reintegration. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is responsible for its implementation.

For instance, in Irpin, Kyiv region, the facade works at one of the facilities have already reached 60% completion. They are scheduled for completion by June 30. The next phase is the repair of apartments and networks. We anticipate completing the work on the site by the end of the year.

The second site will also see the completion of the first phase of construction, which includes facade and roofing works. Additionally, a new house will be constructed in Irpin from scratch.

During the meeting, the participants also discussed the status of construction and related processes in the other four oblasts where the project is being implemented.
