The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Coordination Center for Civilian Support held an extra meeting to discuss this item, with Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk in attendance.
Firstly, representatives of the Coordination Center provided an update on the implementation of veterans’ policy in the region. The Vinnytsia region is responsible for the social and psychological adaptation of veterans and the organization of rehabilitation for the children of defenders.
Additionally, the region boasts several veteran-focused spaces, with various sporting events and charitable initiatives held in support of the Armed Forces.
Another key task is integrating the region’s 140,000+ internally displaced persons.
They talked about housing and jobs. They also talked about helping businesses that have moved and lending programs.
Furthermore, they focused on IDP accommodation.
They also discussed how international partners will help people in the Vinnytsia region. The region is working with UNHCR, IOM, the UN World Food Program, the International Rescue Committee, Médecins Sans Frontières, the International Committee of the Red Cross, ACTED, the Right to Protection Foundation, UNICEF, and other international organizations.
“The Vinnytsia region is a leader in implementing veteran policy and supporting IDPs. Thank you for your work,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
