Together with the Head of the Ministry of Veterans, Oleksandr Porkhun, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk participated in an event to hand over apartments to defenders in the town of Zolotonosha in the Cherkasy region.

The charity project is being run in partnership with the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration and some of the region’s top businesses. The reconstruction and repair of the apartments and their subsequent transfer to the families of the defenders was made possible thanks to the financial support of the charity fund “Recovery – Cherkasy region”.

Today, the first 10 families got the keys to their apartments.

Iryna Vereshchuk thanked Ihor Taburets, the head of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, and the business representatives who joined the project.

“This is a great example of regional authorities and businesses working together in the veterans’ sector. They’ve done a fantastic job!” the Vice Prime Minister said.
