The Ministry of Reintegration team, led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, visited a center for internally displaced persons in the Cherkasy region.
This place is now a shelter for people who have been forced to leave their homes because of fighting. Many of the people here are children.
The center provides proper conditions and medical care for all residents.
As part of the Winterisation Strategy project, we teamed up with the Ukrainian and Canadian Red Cross to kit out the institution with furniture, household appliances, and necessities.
Right now, 56 people are living here, including 19 kids aged 3 to 17. Most of them are folks who’ve relocated from Kherson, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
