The EU4Business program awarded 779 grants to Ukrainian companies between August 2023 and April 2024. These grants created 1709 jobs.
The results were discussed at a meeting on IDP employment chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The grants went to entrepreneurs and people doing business in areas affected by the war. These areas included Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia.
Entrepreneurs got funding to work in these industries.
– Processing industry
– Hotels and restaurants.
– Healthcare.
The funds went to buying stuff, rent, salaries, etc.
“I’m grateful to the EU and Germany for supporting micro-businesses in Ukraine. Your help is important for recovering and developing businesses in war-affected regions. We appreciate your support,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
