The Prime Ministers of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal, and Belgium, Alexander De Kroo, have signed an agreement on technical and financial cooperation, as reported by the Government portal.
The funds will be allocated to the restoration of energy and social infrastructure in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.
Furthermore, the signed agreement streamlines the implementation of joint programs and projects, thereby contributing to Ukraine’s economic and social recovery.
The agreement stipulates that the Belgian development agency Enabel will also establish a representative office in Ukraine.
In May, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk convened a working meeting with representatives of Enabel to explore potential collaboration on the reintegration of internally displaced persons and war veterans.
