During her visit to Kryvyi Rih, Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk met to discuss veterans’ policy.
Oleksandr Vilkul, who heads up the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council, was there with other members of the city’s leadership, representatives of veterans’ organizations, specialized medical institutions, the Ministry of Reintegration, and so on.
The group talked about putting veterans’ policy into practice at the community level in Kryvyi Rih.
They talked about local veteran projects and initiatives in areas like veteran admin services, medical rehab, and veteran sports.
They also looked at the idea of the state budget giving money to local budgets to help set up a veterans’ assistant program.
There was a lot of focus on increasing the pay of psychologists working with veterans in Kryvyi Rih.
They also talked about how to take the successful local veteran programs and make them work in other parts of Ukraine.
