The majority of Ukrainian asylum seekers surveyed (64%) have not adapted to life in the countries of temporary residence and are prepared to return to Ukraine.

The results of a sociological survey conducted by Gradus Research show that.

The study shows that the adaptation factor has the biggest impact on whether people plan to return to Ukraine (55% of respondents mentioned it).

Furthermore, 70% of asylum seekers who work remotely for Ukrainian companies and 68% of those who are temporarily unemployed have expressed a desire to return home.

Most people (62%) are still unsure when they will return to Ukraine.

The people we spoke to said that there are things that would help them decide to come back home more quickly.

About 41% of respondents said that a guaranteed, stable job was a big factor for them.

A significant proportion of respondents (36%) identified financial assistance in Ukraine upon return as a key consideration, while 33% highlighted the importance of accessing or arranging housing in secure regions of Ukraine.

According to the survey results, approximately 27% of respondents indicated that they would be willing to return to Ukraine if the country’s air defense capabilities were enhanced.
