Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk is holding meetings to discuss a project to provide liquefied natural gas to people in areas near the frontline.
Previously, the focus was on providing liquefied gas in cylinders as humanitarian assistance to individuals in vulnerable communities situated in the frontline areas of the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk regions.
At a recent meeting, the Vice Prime Minister expressed support for the proposal put forth by the Kherson RMA to include Kherson Oblast in the pilot project.
The meeting agenda included a review of the status of approval of the revised draft resolution by the stakeholders and a technical review of the project.
They also looked at how to get international partners to provide equipment for the pilot project.
The pilot project is being managed by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk. It is being developed by the Ministry of Energy in collaboration with the Ministry of Reintegration and other relevant ministries and agencies.
The draft has now been submitted to the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers for further consideration by the government.
