This is about the government’s Resolution No. 861, dated July 30, 2024.

The directive states that residents of territories where military operations are ongoing or have been completed will be permitted to harvest fuel wood for household use at no cost.

Felling residues are collected separately.

The rule will be in effect during martial law and for six months after it ends. It will also be in effect as long as it is safe to stay in the relevant forest areas.
