Increased funding for the programs of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Ukraine will allow us to continue to provide vital assistance to Ukrainian children and their families affected by the armed aggression of the russian federation.

Norway is UNICEF’s fifth-largest financial partner in responding to the humanitarian challenges in Ukraine. Through this partnership, UNICEF can provide support to Ukrainian children and their families in several key areas, including child protection, education, health, social services, water, and sanitation.

Previously, it was announced that Caritas has earmarked supplementary funds for humanitarian assistance in Ukraine, while the Finnish government has augmented its backing for Ukrainian pensioners in conflict zones.
