Until recently, folks from Ukraine in the TOT were heading back to the government-controlled territory through the humanitarian corridor Kolotylivka – Pokrovka in the Sumy region. Right now, this humanitarian corridor has been suspended because of enemy shelling.
The Mokrany-Domanovo checkpoint on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border remains a potential exit option. All Ukrainian citizens in possession of the requisite Ukrainian documents may utilize this checkpoint.
After crossing the border, they are met by local volunteers who help with transportation for the elderly and people with reduced mobility. They also provide free transportation to Kovel and help people buy train tickets to other regions of Ukraine.
All participants are offered the option of staying for one complimentary night with meals.
They are also registered for financial assistance for UAH 10,800 from an international organization and are provided with assistance in finding free temporary housing, employment, and other resources.
