The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission, which verifies casualties, said that in July, russians killed at least 219 civilians and injured 1,018 others. This is the highest number of casualties since October 2022.
The UN notes that the trend of civilian casualties has continued to increase since March 2024.
The crimes committed by Russia against civilians are a gross violation of international humanitarian law (IHL). Despite the evidence and testimonies, Russia has denied targeting civilians since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
The Ministry of Reintegration constantly monitors compliance with international humanitarian law throughout Ukraine and documents its violations. The relevant register is maintained for further response of specialized international organizations to violations of IHL. This will allow us to bring the aggressor state and its citizens to justice.
