The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, as well as representatives of local communities and civil society organizations.
The attendees were apprised of the establishment of dedicated units for veterans’ policy at the regional and local levels. They also deliberated on the configuration of veterans’ facilities within communities.
According to the Unified State Register of Veterans, approximately 69,000 individuals in Odesa Oblast are currently designated as veterans.
The Odesa Regional Center for Assistance to War Veterans the Veteran Hub Service Office, a veteran hub in the village of Dobroslav, and the Veterans Hub Odesa NGO are all operating successfully in the region.
Iryna Vereshchuk urged regional leaders and community organizations to prioritize the establishment of veterans’ hubs and the implementation of a “single window” for veterans’ administrative services.
“The key objective is to work within communities, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment for veterans,” the Vice Prime Minister emphasized.
