The issue was discussed at a meeting on humanitarian response in Donetsk Oblast, led by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.

The participants engaged in a discussion regarding the implementation of the Government’s recently adopted resolution on the introduction of a pilot project in Donetsk Oblast to simplify the procedures for the construction of artesian and other production wells.

The Donetsk Regional Military Administration has directed its representatives to identify the settlements facing the most critical water supply challenges, to prioritize the relevant work.

The team conducted a status review of the transfer of 11 mobile water treatment plants to the Mykolaivka and Oleksandrivka territorial communities in Donetsk Oblast. The first four units are currently in transit with the State Emergency Service.

Additionally, a representative of the Donetsk RMA provided an update on the commencement of design estimates for the construction of six clean water tanks in the Donetsk region.

“The Donetsk region presents several significant challenges for humanitarian response. However, we are working to ensure the livelihoods in the frontline areas,” stated Iryna Vereshchuk.
