At a meeting of the Evacuation Coordination Headquarters chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, the issue was discussed.
It was noted that the mandatory evacuation has been underway since August 2022. During this time, more than 197 thousand people have been evacuated from the frontline areas. Among them are more than 24 thousand children and about 7.4 thousand people with disabilities.
Pokrovsk is served by daily rail connections to Dnipro, Lviv, and the Rivne region.
Upon arrival, evacuees are provided the financial assistance of UAH 10,800 per person by UNICEF and UNHCR.
Additionally, they receive humanitarian, legal, and psychological assistance and free housing.
Specific consideration is given to the involuntary relocation of children with their parents or legal guardians.
