The government has today approved the draft protocol between the governments of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland. The protocol provides for amendments to the agreement between the governments of these countries on the provision of a loan on the terms of related assistance dated September 9, 2015.
It is proposed that:
– Extend the payment term for contracts with Polish companies funded by a Polish government loan from 5 to 8 years.
– Allow contracts with Polish companies to be amended to reflect changes in the scope of work.
The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine developed the relevant draft law by the protocol decision of a special meeting chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
The amendments to the Agreement will enable the utilization of a loan from the Government of the Republic of Poland and the implementation of expenditures within budget programs. These are program 3111610, entitled “Development of the border road infrastructure on the Ukrainian-Polish border”, and program 3506610, entitled “Implementation of the project for the development of the border road infrastructure and arrangement of checkpoints”.
