The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution to implement an experimental project on automatic verification and verification of information on conscripts, persons liable for military service, and reservists.
It addresses several key areas:
- Military registration for conscripts
All males between the ages of 17 and 25 are required to register for military service without undergoing a military medical examination. This applies to both Ukrainian nationals and foreign nationals residing in Ukraine.
- Document verification abroad
This applies to men aged 18 to 60 who are abroad and applying for Ukrainian or foreign passports. The validity of their military registration documents will be checked through the state electronic system Trembita.
- Inclusion in the register
The Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service and Reservists (USRPVR) will include boys aged 16 to 25 who reside in Ukraine and apply for a passport. These individuals will be exempt from undergoing a military qualification examination.
This also applies to individuals who are currently residing abroad and applying for a passport at a Ukrainian diplomatic mission.
- List of Citizens
A register of Ukrainian males aged 16 to 60 will be compiled, and the data of those included will be entered into the USRPVR. These individuals will be subject to military registration.
The draft resolution was developed by the Ministry of Reintegration in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense, the State Migration Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The necessity for its introduction was frequently deliberated at interagency meetings chaired by Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk.
These new developments will streamline and enhance the retrieval of information within the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Persons Liable for Military Service, and Reservists.
