The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has handed out 17 generators with a capacity of 27 to 88 kW to food producers and processors in the frontline and liberated areas.
The entrepreneurs in question hail from the following regions: Dnipropetrovs’k, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv.
This assistance is part of the FAO’s comprehensive 2024 Emergency Response Plan, which is designed to help entrepreneurs ensure sustainable food production.
As part of the FAO program in collaboration with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the German Government, 114 generators with a capacity of up to 440 kW have already been delivered to small and medium-sized enterprises. Another 131 devices are expected to be delivered in the coming weeks.
As a reminder, Donetsk Oblast recently received assistance from Polish partners.
