The event, held in Kyiv, featured a panel discussion on the challenges and achievements of humanitarian work in Ukraine during the war.
Additionally, the event included a photo exhibition showcasing humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
Matthias Schmale, the United Nations System Coordinator in Ukraine, Humanitarian Coordinator Joanna Garbalinska, Director of the Humanitarian NGO Platform in Ukraine, Mila Leonova, Head of the Alliance of Ukrainian Civil Society Organizations, and Yevhen Kolyada, Head of the Humanitarian Coordination Center, were in attendance at the event.
Iryna Vereshchuk said it is important to help people in war zones. She said it is important to protect people and workers who help people in dangerous situations.
“Humanitarian organizations in Ukraine are very professional. They are quick to respond and make good decisions,” the Vice Prime Minister said.
She also said it’s important to keep helping people.
“The next winter will be hard. We need to be ready. We have experience and we know people are waiting for our help. Together, we can help them,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
