A budget of UAH 21.5 million has been set aside to provide an additional subsidy to local budgets, to compensate institutions for the provision of free accommodation for internally displaced persons in April 2024.

These are municipal institutions, state educational institutions that have been transferred for funding from local budgets, and jointly owned institutions of territorial communities of the region and district that are managed by regional and district councils.

It should be noted that the government allocated these funds from the reserve fund of the state budget. By CMU Resolution No. 721-r of August 2, 2024, the Ministry of Reintegration directed them to local budgets to pay compensation to institutions that sheltered IDPs.
