During this period, the Ministry of Reintegration allocated UAH 1.463 billion to provide state financial assistance to individuals released from captivity and family members of prisoners of war.

This includes a one-time allowance of 100 thousand hryvnias to individuals released from captivity. It also entails an annual allowance of 100 thousand hryvnias to the families of those who remain in captivity.

A special commission under the Ministry of Reintegration has been established to determine the facts of captivity. The commission includes representatives of state bodies and specialized public organizations.

“The Commission on Establishing the Fact of Deprivation of Personal Freedom as a Result of Armed Aggression Against Ukraine continues to function under the Ministry of Reintegration. This year, the Ministry anticipates additional budgetary resources to support the families of prisoners,” stated Natalia Babiychuk, Director of the Directorate for the Protection of the Rights of Citizens Affected by Armed Aggression.
