People have been leaving Donetsk Oblast since August 2022. More than 277,000 people have been displaced. Among them are more than 32,000 children and more than 8,000 people with disabilities.
Evacuation by rail and road. Special vehicles are used if needed.
When they arrive, evacuees get help with things like the law, their mental health, and where to live.
Families with children get money from UNICEF and the Charity Foundation “Angels of Salvation” to help with food and other needs.
