The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has implemented a series of programs in Ukraine to protect children and families with children. One of these programs is designed to provide support to Ukrainians who are evacuating from dangerous areas to safer regions.
In the past month, 2,000 emergency hygiene kits have been delivered to families evacuating from the Donetsk region via evacuation trains.
Furthermore, UNICEF offers psychosocial assistance and first aid to evacuees, and mobile teams provide support to families arriving by evacuation train, ensuring they have the necessary resources and facilitating their continued adaptation.
As previously announced, UNICEF has commenced disbursing financial assistance to Ukrainians residing in frontline areas, to enable them to withstand winter.
