The initiative’s objective is to assist vulnerable households affected by the armed conflict, focusing on internally displaced households and those who have returned home after displacement.
The Estonian Refugee Council in Ukraine is responsible for implementing the program, which is funded by the Directorate-General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid in Europe (DG ECHO), the United States Agency for International Development’s Bureau for Humanitarian Aid (BHA/USAID), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
The financial assistance is for starting or restarting businesses in areas like livestock, farming, beekeeping, gardening, food preparation, services, tailoring, crafts, etc.
Households in communities can apply for the program:
– Dnipropetrovska oblast: Synelnyky district, Pokrovska and Vasylkivska communities.
– Donetsk region: Pokrovskyi rayon, Dobropilska community.
– Zaporizhzhia region: Zaporizhzhia district, Vilnyanska and Bilenkivska communities.
– Kirovohrad region.
– Mykolaiv region: Mykolaiv district, Shevchenkivska and Olshanska communities.
– Poltava region: Kremenchuk rayon, Kremenchuk community and Myrhorod rayon, Myrhorod community.
– Kharkiv region: Chuhuiv district, Zmiivska and Novopokrovska communities, and Izium district, Barvinkivska and Slobozhanska communities.
– Cherkasy region.
Some households will get a grant to buy things to make more products or make a profit.
