The IDP Council at the Khmelnytskyi RMA was set up in September 2023. It has 20 members, most of whom are displaced people.

Iryna Vereshchuk, Vice Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, chaired a meeting on IDPs and presented the report.

The Khmelnytskyi Regional IDP Council works on housing programs.

The IDP Council suggests:

– Support temporary accommodation centers in the Khmelnytskyi region.

– Create and implement the “State Realtor” service (free long-term lease real estate services for IDPs).

– Build houses for IDPs with donors, authorities, and landowners.

The IDP Council comprises some civil society organizations, including the Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, Zahody, the Victoria IDP Council, and the Rokada Charitable Foundation.

They collaborate to organize various events, including cultural, educational, training, and motivational activities, as well as programs designed to facilitate the integration of internally displaced persons into host communities.
