The Commission, which was established to ascertain whether there has been a deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, continues to operate under the Ministry of Reintegration.
The Commission is responsible for establishing the fact of captivity of military and civilian personnel, including those who have already been released from captivity. The Commission is composed of representatives from state bodies and specialized public organizations.
Following the establishment by the Commission of the deprivation of personal liberty, the Ministry of Reintegration disburses a one-time state financial assistance of UAH 100,000 to persons released from captivity.
The Ministry pays 100 thousand hryvnias a year to former prisoners of war or their families.
