The funds will be used for reconstruction in Ukraine over the next four years. The Government Portal reports.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, and Felix Baumann, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova.

One billion dollars will go to self-government, demining, and humanitarian assistance. The rest will go to recovery programs involving the Swiss private sector.

A private sector delegation is in Kyiv to learn about Ukraine’s medium and long-term needs.

Swiss partners will help create new jobs in the regions.
