The Ministry of Digital Transformation has announced that Ukrainians who have lost their homes due to the war can now apply for compensation for destroyed property through the Diia portal. Previously, this option was only available through the Diia mobile application.
The application must be submitted in order to receive a housing certificate for the purchase of a new home or funds for the reconstruction of their own land plot in the event that a private house has been destroyed.
To apply, you must:
1. Log in to Diia.
2. Click on ‘Services for citizens’, then ‘Land, construction, real estate’.
3. Select ‘Compensation for damaged or destroyed property’.
4. Choose how you want to be compensated (housing certificate or cash) and fill in the form.
5. Check the data and sign the application.
You can submit the application at any Administrative Service Centre in Ukraine.
The eRecovery program is being run by the Ministry of Communities and Territorial Development and the Ministry of Digital Transformation with the help of USAID, UK Dev, and the Eastern Europe Foundation.
